Use Tags without over-organizing

Tags should answer one practical retrieval question: how will you find this group of Tickets later?

  1. Start from a retrieval question, not a category tree.
  2. Create one narrow Tag with a specific name.
  3. Apply it only to Tickets that share the same future search need.
  4. Filter by the Tag to confirm the result set is useful.
  5. Delete, merge, or rename stale Tags when they stop helping.
